Restore the cracked and flaky surface of a photo
Old board based photo are very sensitive to moisture damage. If after exposure to water they are left to dry out in excessive heat the emulsion or surface of the photo can simply fake off. Don't leave them in the garage or damp loft, dry them out slowly and keep them in a cool dry place until you can get them scanned and restored.
