Removing paper texture

Sometimes when copying or repairing old images, the paper on which it has printed has a texture to it. This represents itself as canvas like texture on the paper surface. It could also take the form of little round dots from where the image had been printed like news print.

These textures can be minimized to an extent where they are no longer noticeable or sometimes removed altogether.
