I had never had this work done before and I was a bit nervous about how it would work out and whether it would be worth it or not. My order was for a large number of photos to be copied, some repaired and some made into a standard size. The work carried out was excellent; I was more than satisfied with the results. After I received the first batch, I sent another to be worked on and also sent a further batch later. I have no doubt that I shall be using this service again in the future.

A tiny sepia photo 150 years old has been brought to life again! Neil Rhodes has done a brilliant job restoring the image into a black and white 7x5 print, getting rid of blotch marks and graininess and giving the 5 people in the photo a good definition. A badly faded and scratched photo was restored. Neil did a great job of restoring the photo, patching and sampling from other provided photos where necessary, and adjusting colour on request. He responded immediately to my initial email, and phoned me to consult on the requirements beforehand. He was happy to tweak the result on request. The photo had been requested on a tight deadline, which he met with ease. Communication and end product could not have been better. Price seemed high at first, but was in line with other quotes, and was justified by the end result and the attention to detail.

Two very old and damaged photographs of my parents were scanned and sent. Restoration work carried out and results scanned to me next day. A further three working days later and I had the actual photographs in my hand. The restoration quality was superb - even an old message written in fountain pen on one of the photographs was perfectly clear. These photographs are beyond value to me but to have them restored when they never left my possession and then to see them in what is really better then original quality is wonderful. I wanted several photos from the 1900s to be restored. I have had photos restored before with other restorers. Neil managed to restore a very old, damaged and faded photograph with fantastic results. He responded promptly to my initial enquiry and turned the work around very quickly - the whole transaction took less than a week and I was kept fully informed every step of the way. I only wish I had found Neil earlier - a previous attempt of having an image cleaned up and re-printed by another company resulted in a very garish and poor quality print that could not be used as intended. I live in London, and couldn't drive to a shop, therefore I chose this company from the information and 'vibe' I got from the website. I spoke to Neil on the phone, and felt from speaking to him, that I was in safe hands. The prices seem to be the going rate. The communication and turnaround was very efficient and quick. Decided to go ahead with order on Friday and received photos on Wednesday. The photos were of a good quality and were probably the best that could be achieved from old colour tinted photos one of which was 65 years old and the other 55 years.

I asked Image Restore to attempt to re-inject some life into a very faded 40-year old school photo of my wife and sister-in-law that had been sitting around unnoticed and gathering dust for years.

It was quite a challenge, but they got on to it very quickly (2 days from first inquiry to finished product) and did a really terrific job. This involved a total of four proofs as we tried to get the colours just right - I am grateful for their patience as I was being quite exacting.
