Matching grain for photo restoration

Another fundamental of photo restoration is matching grain, this is process whereby any replacement part or new part of photo being added is matched into the existing tone and texture. This is done by adding grain or noise to the part being added to match the underlying texture. A combination of blur and noise several times may be required to get the correct match.
